Help[Opinions] WDYTO Meritxell?
This name has been on my mind recently. I figure the "different" spelling might make it a good mn contender. It strikes me as a good alternative to Michelle. So, WDYTO Meritxell? (I prn it mair-i-CHEL)Can you think of any combos? TIA!!

I really couldn't pronounce it until you gave the key, and even then, I tend to make it Mair-it-trix-ell.

I really like the pronounciation, but if I was faced with that name just written down, I'd kill it when I said it out loud.
So, I would keep the pronounciation, but spell it how it sounds. I actually really like how you spelled it in the prn. Mairichel.

1. I don't think the average Joe will pronounce the name the way it should be pronounced.
2. I think it is jerky and I want to say Merit-Xell.
3. I like the way it looks, but I see Merit in it and I don't particularly like how it stands out.
Overall, not liking it terribly much. I will say that I hate the name Michelle for personal reasons and therefore I think Meritxell is worlds above it...but that probably isn't saying too much since I really dislike Michelle.

The first thing I thought of this name when I saw it was the Matrix. I would stick with Michelle.
