[Opinions] WDYT of Muir?
I love this as a mn and I love the meaning ("sea"). WDYT of Ronan Muir as a combo?

I think it is a nice combo and it great in the middle name spot. I like the meaning as well. I do believe there a lot of famous people with the name Muir though, so you may want to look into that aspect.

It reminds me of John Muir, the founder of the Sierra Club, which is a great association. Ronan Muir is OK. Rolan Muir is better.Gideon Muir
Augustin Muir
Dylan Muir
Sebastian Muir
Allan Muir
Cael Muir
Damien Muir(I pronounce it to rhyme with pure, BTW, like John Muir.)

Muir struck me as a feminine name at first, and then I realized that was probably because of the movie "The Ghost & Mrs. Muir". But obviously that was her ln not her fn. :b I don't adore the sound of it, but the meaning is nice and I can definitely deal with it as a mn. And I love Ronan. So Ronan Muir gets a thumbs-up from me. :)

I think of John Muir, founder of the Sierra Club and graduate of UW Madison. :) If you go to our state's Historical Society building, they have this neat clock he created. He'd be a cool guy to be the namesake of, so I approve.Ronan Muir's all right, though I'm not a fan of Ronan. It just reminds me of ronin, and to quote Wikipedia on the word: The term rōnin is also used in modern Japan for those who have failed the yearly school entrance examinations for high school or university, and then decide to spend the next year studying to retake those exams. It originally meant a samurai without a master, so the modern usage is a logical metaphor. :)Array

Growing up watching old movies, I would see the name Muir Matheson a lot. Apparently he conducted a lot of the orchestration in British films. So I grew up loving the name Muir. It is very romantic sounding, rich and honeyed. Ronan Muir is gorgeous, especially with a soft, Gaelic "r" sound. I've recently discovered the name Muiris ("MYOOR-ish"). Do you like it?

I never knew how to even pronounce it. And I've heard it pronounced so many different ways, none of them especially pleasing.
