It reminds me of a beautiful Scandinavian picture book we have here in Germany. It's called "Saying good-bye to Rune" and is oh so bitter-sweet (Rune being a little boy who drowns while playing with his friend Sara near a lake).
Here, we pronounce it "ROO-nuh".
I have a soft spot for Nordic names, so I really like it!

Like it, which is funny because it strikes me as a Ciarda style name, but I still like it. It's different, but not so much that it wouldn't fit in with sibs or something. *ponders it for a while* I may add it to my list.-Seda*
