My thoughts are
1) celebrity worshippers / wannabe like the wealthy / bet they would never use it if not for the "high class" precedent
2) doggie name
... that pretty much sums it up. I think it can work as a nickname for certain people, but I think it makes a cheesy full name for a new baby.
