[Opinions] Re: Hunter
in reply to a message by Maya
Hunter is my #1 MOST HATED name. What if poor little "Hunter" grows up to be a vegetarian? What if he takes his name to heart and decides he wants to hunt little innocent and cute creatures? I dislike label names for so many reasons, but this one is the worst, IMO, because it it violent and cruel.
What if my BIL who grow up and became Buddhist was named "Christian"?
What if my DH who grew up to be vegan was named "Hunter"?
Do you think either of them would appreciate their names? It would end up being a huge hassle for them to get them changed and a huge identity crisis.
Just something to think about.

Not nessicarly, I heard of a Jew named Christian once, and they were fine.
I dislike hunting (but at least they eat it as well, as do other things, not just kill it for it's skin), but yet I like Hunter on a girl, and I'd use it. I know that sounds odd, but I can't help but like the name.
