It's nice, but I prefer Gabrielle. And when it comes to Gabriella I might like it better spelled Gabriela. I think Gabriella nn Ella would be very cute, different from the usual Gabby. When I think of Ella I usually imagine it as a nn for Gabriella for some reason.

I love Gabriella. I think its feminine and elegant and classic. Gabrielle is pretty too, but that version reminds me so much of the male version Gabriel.

I love the name Gabriella. I know a little girl with the name and she is so cute. We call her Gabby, but I like the name Ella for a nn too.

Ella is one of my favourite names so I would hate to hear it used as a nn for a name I hate.

I prefer Gabriella.
I know a young woman of that name;it's never nick-named or abbreviated, though.
