[Opinions] Theodosia.......
Do you (personally) pronounce Theodosia thee-oo-doe-see-ah or thee-oo-doe-sha or some other way?

When I first saw it I thought thee-oh-doe-see-ah. But after you mentioned it I think it's probably suppose to be said thee-oh-doe-sha, and I like the sound of thee-oh-doe-sha slightly more than the other.

Where are people getting the "oo" sound from?I don't mean to be snotty. I'm truely curious. I say "thee-uh-," but I can see how others would get "thee-oh-." I can't understand where anyone could get "thee-oo-" from. Is there a famous person who says it this way? Is this an authentic Greek pronunciaiton that I'm not familiar with? Just wondering.

For me, I'm just no go at writing things like that out. There is no oo sound for me - it is an thee-uh

I have never seen it before opening this post, and I first said it thee-o-doe-sha. But I could also see it being see-ah instead.

I pronounce it thee-oh-DOH-sha. I've never met one, but I have met a Theodosious and that was pronounced thee-oh-DOH-shus.

I pronounce it more like thee-ah-doe-sha. Just because it flows off my tongue better that way.
