WDYT of Joanna? I really would prefer Joanne, but since Joanna does a load of honouring I'd be more likely to use it, so I'm just wondering what your opinions are.

Hazel has also been striking my fancy recently as well, I was thinking Hazel Valerie Matilda?

I love Joanna, it beats Joanne by a mile in my book. Joanne sounds dated, but Joanna is fresh and elegant. Go for it!

I used to like Hazel until I met someone with the name : / I love Matilda and hate Valerie.

I think Joanna is nice and I love Jo for a nn. Hazel is also pretty. Valerie is nms, but I love Matilda. I'd prefer Hazel Matilda.

For some reason I've been fascinated by the name Joanna for ages; I love it. And spent a LOT of time finding the right combo; atm I'm on Joanna Louise.

It is so much nicer than Joanne.

I don't like Hazel much, but I do like Valerie and Matilda is ok.

I a mot a big fan of Josephine or Joanna, because of the nn Jo. Joe is all masculine to me.

I like it a lot! I ultimately prefer Johanna, but Joanna is really lovely (and I prefer it to Joanne).

While I'm not a big fan of Hazel or Valerie individually, Hazel Valerie Matilda is lovely. Very strong sounding. :)

Joanna's lovely. I'd prefer it a bit to Joanne, but that's maybe because I love -anna ending names.

Hazel goes with with Valerie and Matilda, but perhaps not together. It seems a bit of a mouthful with all three names together.

Joanna seems timeless to me while Joanne seems stuck in the 50s. I didn't always feel this way. Joanna had felt really old fashioned to me until I met a little girl several years ago with the name. I think it's due for a revival.

The Hazel combo flows well though I think Hazel Valerie or Hazel Matilda work better (unless, of course, you're trying to honor more than one person).
