I don't like it as a first name. Especially I don't like noun-names with other word-names because they suggest a literal phrase, which is usually too pedestrian-seeming for a name-concept IMO. I think it might be nice with a firstname that doesn't evoke a specific image. Like, from your list - Carmen Sparrow; or Tristan Sparrow. (Isla Sparrow makes me think "isle o'Sparrow." Waaay too Pirates)
