David and I are happy to announce the arrival of our seventh child and third son, Jude Hamilton Luis! Jude came into the world on July 14th, weighing 8 pounds, 4 ounces; 21 inches long. Our handsome baby boy looks a lot like daddy and his big brothers, Spencer and Grant. The kids are all thrilled to have another baby in the house, and of course, the feeling is mutual for David and me.
As for our other children, Zoe is now ten years old and getting ready to start the fifth grade. She is a wonderful student and a huge help to me with all her little sisters and brothers. She has become quite a bit more outgoing, and loves to do gymnastics. She is quite the talented athlete and has dreams of one day going to the Olympics and winning gold.
Grace is eight years old and will be in third grade this year. She has always been the most independent and outgoing of our girls, so it does not phase me that she loves performing, acting, singing...anything that puts her in the spotlight. She says she wants to be an actress when she grows up.
Adriana is still very much a daddy's girl, despite having three little brothers in the house. She is now seven years old and will be a second grader in the fall. She is a sweet little girl who loves to help people in any way she can, which is why we are not surprised when she says she wants to be a doctor when she gets older.
Spencer and Stella will be five years old next month, and to mommy's disbelief, will be starting kindergarten in the fall. Where does the time go? Spencer, as the eldest of the boys, is a wonderful big brother. He loves to spend time with David and wants to be "just like daddy", although the one difference is that he wants to be a "police man" when he grows up. Stella is our nurturing daughter; she loves spending time with her little brothers. As the youngest girl, she thinks of herself as a mommy to Grant and Jude. She loves to play with her dolls, and wants to be "a mommy and a teacher".
Grant will be three in October. He has always been such a happy little boy; he is our little clown. He loves to make people smile and laugh, and he sure does do a great job of it!
And now, of course, we have welcomed Jude into our family. We cannot wait to see how his personality develops over the years. David and I have decided that we are more than content with seven children, so there is no doubt that Jude will be our youngest and our last. Now we look forward to raising our children and helping them to be all the best they can be!
