Ava Marie (mah-ree), Ava Julia, Ava Belle? To me, Ava is ah-vah, and Eva is eh-vah, so it may make the combo sound different!

Wdyt of this name? I love it, really. I love how it's short and simple but still packs a punch. I love its Old Hollywood feel. I despair over its popularity. Popular I can take, but not epidemic popularity. Currently, my money is on Ava to finally dethrone Emily from the number one spot.

Do you know any Ava's? Sadly, yes. I know 3 age two or under. I also see the name all the time in expecting clubs and online playgroups, in web nursuries, in my local BAs, and on the walls at my son's daycare. What would of be a good mn for it?

Wdyt of this name? - Dislike. (Eva is nms, and I hate Eve beause of bad associations) I like the way Ava sounds, but the spelling...eww... Maybe I'd prefer Ava spelled Aeva. Ava is like aave in Finnish (aave=ghost)

Wdyt of this name? I do like it. It's pretty and to the point. But I'm also incredibly sick of it. When I see it on BAs I sigh, pretty or not.
Do you know any Ava's? Yep. A friend of my best friend, who I've become close with recently. (She's sixteen, if you're wondering.) I still really love the name on her, even though I'm sick of hearing about it. She also loves her name, by the way.
What would of be a good mn for it?

where do you here about Ava's? On the forum, newspaper, TV, life...?

In birth announcements and celebrity babies is where I'm sick of hearing about Avas. I don't hear about them that often on the forum anymore, though I do sometimes, and hardly ever meet Avas who are over two years old. But it seems like every BA includes an Ava...probably Ava Elizabeth. It's like Rose as a middle name. By this point I see it so frequently it just slips in one ear and out the other.I'm glad you like those combos. I'm fond of Ava Christiane myself even though I don't particularly love Christiane. It just seems to click.

I love this name, from the sound of it to the look of it, but I'm growing so tired of seeing it everywhere from message boards to birth announcements. I think parents can afford to be more creative and original.I don't know any Avas personally, but I know of several Avas. My sister wanted to name my niece Ava, but was terrified of its popularity (which is immense but STILL keeps rising!).I think an uncommon middle name would complement Ava the most. Any 'common' or 'popular' middle name would make the combo sound extremely boring.Ava Anastasia
Ava Thaïs
Ava Thisbe
Ava Electra
Ava Birgitte
Ava Leonore
Ava Pilar
Ava Sybilla
Ava Melusine
Ava Romilly
Ava Lucia

I love the sound of it and I really like how it looks on paper. I prefer Eve over Ava but I much prefer Ava over Eva. I mostly associate it with Ava Gardner but I know 2 beautiful baby Avas. Its getting very popular so I wouldn't use it myself. Some mn suggestions:Ava Beatrix

I like Ava, but because it is so overly popular, I'm liking Ada better.
I don't know any Avas, but that's probably because I don't know many little children.

Ava is extremely popular. It is the #5 in America for girls.

I know an Ava, but it's not exactly a good association to make with Ava. I like Ava, because it makes me think of Ava Gardner.I would use something a little out of the ordinary as far as middlenames go for ava. Catherine, Elizabeth, and Grace are names I've seen countless times with this name...Ava Veronica
Ava Adelaide
Ava Nathalie
Ava Mathilde
Ava Camille
Ava Therese
Ava Naomi
Ava Penelopeetc.
