I don't care for it. I think it just has a bland, generic sound to it that a lot of -alen and -aylen, -aden and -ayden names share.I could get behind Galen with slightly more enthusiasm, though. I've met Galens before the -aylen and -alen wave really picked up, and between my acquaintance with it and its actual history, I can swallow that more easily.

I love Galen for a boy. It doesn't seem trendy in the least, oddly enough, even though Jalen seems extremely trendy to me. BTW, we had a baby at work about 3 years ago and her name was Jalen and she had a sister named Gaylen. :-/
