[Opinions] Jadwiga
What do you think of Jadwiga (pronounced yahd-VEE-gah)? Would you use it as a first name or a middle name? What are some nicknames for this? What are some good combinations? Thanks!

Jadwiga is my grandmother's name, so I love it. I would use it as a middle name, though, because it's so unfamiliar to most people where I live. I know my grandma is tired of explaining, pronouncing, and correcting this name for others (where we live Polish is so unfamiliar to most, it might as well be a Martian language).
If it helps, my grandma uses "Hedy" as an occasional nn, since Jadwiga is the same as Hedwig, and she always loved Hedy Lamarr. I would go with something simple as a combo like, Jadwiga May, Ellen Jadwiga, Zoe Jadwiga, or Laurel Jadwiga.

I really dislike it. Keep in mind most people probably won't be able to pronounce it correctly so I would use it as a mn if you must us it at all.
Jadwiga is a nice choice, its unusual and pretty.
