GIRLS
Anne Marie "Annie" - Prefer Anna
Briar Rose "Briar" - I love this
Bindi "Binns" - Well, seeing as Bindy is already a nn for Belinda, I don't think "Binns" is attractive OR necessary.
Cairo "Cai" - I love Cairo but don't think it needs a nn
Caius "Cai" - Same as Cairo
Calligraphy "Calli" - I like Callie (this spelling) but short for Calliope
Charlotte " Lottie, Charlie, Charlotta" - Never been a fan of Charlotte or its nns
Indigo "Indie" - I lov Indigo but it doesn't need a nn
Jericho "Echo" - Prefer just Echo
Jerusalem "Salem" - Prefer just Salem
Liberty "Libby" - Liberty is NMS but Libby is cute as a nn for Elizabeth
October "Toby" - I love October but HAAATE Toby!!! October is beautiful by itself
Perdita "Perdy" - Again....LOOOOVE Perdita by itself but it really doesn't need a nn
River "Rio, Riv" - River is okay I guess but can stand on its own
Sawyer "Huck, Huckleberry" - Too Mark Twain
Tigerlily "Tiger" - NMS, reminds me of Peter Pan
Winter "Winnie" - I love Winter but Winnie reminds me of Winnie the Pooh
BOYS
Addison "Addy" - I hate Addison on either gender. It's a disease.
Elisha "Eli" - Eli is okay but I don't care for Elisha
Indigo "Diggy" Same as what I said for Indigo for a girl
Michelangelo "Michael" - Such a mundane nn for such an eleaborate name. WDYT of Angelo or Chelan (prn. Kellen)
Romeo "Rome" - Love Romeo but it doesn't need a nn
Sidney "Sid" - I like it
A lot of the nns, IMO, felt too contrived. Many names get shortened occastionally in coversation (ex. little Cairo may be called Cai every once in a whil) but I don't think they'd work as a "formal" nn.
