I like it, but it wouldn't be something I would use.

I know it was a name before plant, but I can only think of it being a plant.

I acutually like it a lot, but I admit it is frilly and over the top. I think it'd be a lovely mn :)

No.There are some flower names that are passable... Rose, Lily, Violet, even Daisy... but Amaryllis is crossing a line that probably shouldn't be crossed. Unless you're thinking of calling her Amy for the rest of her life, I wouldn't use it.

I think I like it, though I don't think I would ever use it as a first name. As a second name it's kind of sweet.

I know amaryllis is a flower, but I don't know what those flowers look like. I hate to admit to being so ignorant. But at least my opinion of the flower can't influence my opinion of the name. I don't really care for Amaryllis as a name. I think it's awkward. I can't imagine having to say "Amaryllis" as often as you would have to if you were friends with or related to someone with that name. It just doesn't trip off the tongue. If it were shortened to "Ammie" it might be workable. I've heard of "Ammie" as a nickname for Amanda.

I can only think of those ugly flowers that we always have when it's Christmas. It could work as a middle name but not as a first name. I don't like the flower and I don't like the name of the flower and I don't like it as a name for a person ;)
