[Opinions] Tamsyn
I have got the name Tamsyn in my head at the moment since re-reading a favourite children's book of mine. (The Armourer's House by Rosemary Sutcliffe. Think it's out of print now).I think it looks really attractive and although I like the name Tamsin which is much more popular, I prefer the spelling Tamsyn. But do you think the spelling with the Y is too unconventional? Which is better? I am thinking of the combination Isabella Tamsyn at the moment. Isabella being another name I've recently started to like. Yes, I know it's mega popular! Can you suggest any other names which go well with Tamsyn either as fn or mn?Thanks!

I used to know a Tamsyn when i was a little girl, she was one of my best friends back then, so i have a soft spot for the name (i much prefer the y spelling). She had and older sister named Jenna and a younger one called Kerra

I love Tamsin with every bit of me! lol. Tamsyn isn't bad, but I like the Tamsin spelling too. My absolute favourite combo with it is Tamsin Ophelia, which is strange coz I'm not a huge fan of Ophelia, I only like it in this combo.

Tamsin is ok. I really dislike Tamsyn though. I do not find the letter Y attractive in places it does not belong.I actually prefer the spelling Tamsen. My best friend from childhood was named this and I am just so used to it, even Tamsin looks wrong to me. I also think it has a slightly softer sound and less "sin," but that's just me.

I think Tamsin is a nice name. I don't like it spelled Tamsyn because it just follows that unnecessary Y trend, which is one of my pet peeves. Alas, my own middle name follows that trend, but I couldn't help it!Isabella Tamsin is okay. At least the middle name isn't popular. Tamsin Isabella would be nice too.I don't know what kind of mn you're looking for, but looking at the names in your PNL and in your profile, plus some random names I thought of, here are some suggestions:Tamsin Cecilia or Cecilia Tamsin
Tamsin Elaine
Tamsin Eleanor or Eleanor Tamsin
Tamsin Fern
Tamsin FrancesFreya Tamsin
Katherine Tamsin
Louisa Tamsin
Rosemary Tamsin
Sienna Tamsin

I have loved Tamsen for a long time, but spelled only this way. I would pronounce Tamsin or Tamsyn differently from Tamsen.
