[Opinions] Mem
One of my friends has the nickname Mem, which I am very fond of. (I am also not allowed to call her this, because it would "confuse" her since I've always called her Lily. Oh well.) What do you think of it? Could you suggest some names that could have Mem as a nickname? Thank you very much!(Her name is Marilyn, by the way, but I'm not fond of that. Neither is she, that's why she only goes by Mem/Lily.)

I used to coach a little girl in gymnastics whose name was Memory. Everyone called her Mem.

All I think of is Mem Fox. She is a famous Australian children's book author. Her birth fn is Merrion. Though it lists Merrion as a masculine name on BtN.

I could see it being the product of a first and middle name getting squashed together, like Mary Emma.

Mariam or Miriam would be my first choice, and then Remember or Memory. I think Mem is very cute. I used to be quite fond of Mimosa "Mimsy", and this reminds me of it a little.Array

Meme (prn same as Mem) was the name of my grandparents' cat, so I can't think of it as a person name, cute as it is.
Meryem or Maryam
Merrilyn
Mamie
Mairwen
Meabh or Maeve
Mirembe(edited to correct spelling)

Thanks, I like Maryam "Mem" a lot (and it also makes me think of Miriam "Mem", which is a real "oh, duh" moment for me since Miriam is on my PNL). I could see Maeve and Mairwen working, too.
