I believe it's a Biblical place name, but it seems male to me for some reason. I kind of like it, but it's not something I'd use. And like Allie, it reminds me of the word "eliminate". :-/ Also, I know a family very well with the ln Ealum (EE-lum) so it seems a bit surname-y to me as well.

Hmmm. I don't like it. It looks like shorthand for "eliminate," so it sounds somewhat negative, imo. If I had to choose a gender, I'd pick male.

It sounds like a boys name to me. It kind of reminds me of some of the names in the old testament.

- I don't really know... Kan you tell about it more, like what it means, is it old or new, etc.
Better for a M or F?
- Sounds like a real unisex name. I don't know, maybe it sounds a bit too soft on boys...
