[Opinions] Nadine
First off, do you personally pronounce it na-DEEN or nay-DEEN? I say the latter but I'm interested in how others say it.Second, what do you think of Nadine? I always thought it was nice but never gave it much thought. Does it sound dated at all? Also, do you have some first or middle name suggestions?Thank you! :)

na-DEEN. Really don't like the pronounciation nay-DEEN or NAY-deen.I like the meaning of Nadine. It doesn't jump out at me as being an overly time-stamped name (ie: not dated to me).Nadine Katharine, Nadine Kay

I would pronounce it na-DEEN, and although I like it, I prefer Adine (same prn but without the 'n', don't know if it's on the database here). I don't think it sounds dated, but then I've only ever known one.

Funny, I was thinking about this one just the other day. I think its a nice alternative to Nadia. I know a girl with this name who pronounces it Na-deen, and also goes by Deeny (actually I think this is mostly because she works as a nanny and young children have trouble pronouncing it)

I say Nay-DEEN. I think it's a pretty name. Not dated.

I say na-DEEN, but if I met someone who said nay-deen I'd probably adjust to that pronounciation quickly. It sounds very heavy because of the two n's IMO, but I think it would suit any age. I think it's quite glamorous, but without being too showy. And no, I don't see it as dated :)I think it would work best with something N-free:

Nadine Julia
Iris Nadine
Lydia Nadine
Nadine Eloise
Nadine Aloisia
Nadine Josepha
Gabrielle Nadine
Nadine Laura
Nadine Ophelia
Sarah Nadine

Matilda Nadine

Nadine Scarlett
Nadine Georgia

Felicity Nadine
Nadine Lisette :)Like any?

Yes! Great list. Georgia Nadine/Nadine Georgia, Iris Nadine, Nadine Laura, and Nadine Lisette caught my eye in particular. Thanks so much. :D

I say it nay-DEEN.
And I associate it strongly with the character from Twin Peaks, so I have a hard time forming an opinion one way or the other about it except to say that I'd be relieved to see it in the BA's.It's an iamb, so it would make a convenient middle name for almost anything without being filler. I prefer it as a first name, though, for this reason. And also for that reason I think it needs a longer, more complicated middle name, like Penelope or Alexandra.
