Well, I guess I'll explain.
I was looking for a good nickname for him. I didn't want to use any form of Nick or Cole, or even the normal Russian nickname for Nikolai (Kolya). And I had chosen Hawk as the second middle name by then.
So I was googling different types of hawks, and I came across the osprey hawk. That's where Ozzy comes from, osprey. It's sorta like Oscar --> Ozzy.
Hawk is such an unusual name that it seemed fitting to have that be the basis behind the nickname.
The End (of my long and rambly explanation that really could have taken two sentences but what the heck oh no I'm doing it again ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! XP)
