This name is a GP for me, but spelled Adelyn or Adeline (though I'd be more inclined to pronounce the second spelling as "ad uh line" or "ad uh leen"). Regardless, though I don't like the spelling, I do like the pronounciation.

Sorry Its just another boring lin/lyn name to me
Also for those who said it sounds medicinal see

Seems made up, like a variant of Adeline. Adalin is slightly better than Adelyn, which seems the most obvious (and trendy) spelling, and basically is Madelyn without the M. But Adalin seems like it could or should be Ada + Lin = AY-dah-lin, or it also looks like it could be the name of a medication. Maybe because of Ritalin? :-/ Sorry, it's nms.

If I didn't know how it pronounce it, I'd think it was 'Ada-leen' or 'Aida-leen' which sound nicer IMO.I dislike it said 'Add-uh-lin' because it reminds me of some trendy names like Addison and Madison

I'm quite fond of Adeline (a-da-LEEN), but don't like the look of Adalin at all. It looks like a sort of medication, and besides that looks incomplete.Anyway, I don't care for the pronounciation add-a-lynn for Adeline or Adalin, because "Add a Lynn" is a good way to describe a popular style of naming (Madelyn, Katelyn, Gracelyn, Oaklyn, and so on it goes) and so 'add-a-lynn' as a name seems more like parody than name. That may be my own weirdness.

You mean, like the massive trend these days?To add a -lyn to everything and get a new name (Gracelyn, Emmalyn, etc.)? I don't think so.It's made up, tryndee, and rather unattractive. What about Adeline?

"add a -lyn" = Adalin or Addalyn. LOL.

It sounds like some medicine brand. Adeline is much better

Makes me think of Ridalin, sorry. If not for that, and the "creative" spelling, it would be good : )

I think of Ritalin too.

I think it's fairly pretty, as long as it's being pronounced the way I've been thinking it should be, which is "ah-DAHL-inn", but I'm not sure if that's right. I like how that sounds, though.

When I first glanced at it, I didn't realized it was a kree8tif spelling of Adeline, I thought it was Aladdin.I much prefer Adeline prn. ah-duh-LEEN.
Edited to fix spelling.
