[Opinions] Rupert
I used to think this name was absolutely ridiculous but thanks to seeing it on a couple of British actors recently I've really started to warm up to it. It seems to have a very elegant, gentlemanlike feel. I think Rupert might be a bit much for a real child to bear though. Thoughts?

Well a person is only a child for a small fraction of their life, so Rupert would be mostly on an adult when you think about it. I think it's a great name, very noble sounding.
I don't think it sounds too much for a child to bear. On the contrary, I wish this name would get some circulation in the States. It sounds like a little English chappie, IMO. :) For an older male, it sounds very gentlemanly, like the sort of extinct, chivalrous gentleman who still opens car doors for ladies and stands when a lady leaves and comes back to the dining table. *sigh*
I recommend using Rupert for a little boy, wholeheartedly.

Rupert also sounds too unusual to use in the U.S, although in England it might be usable.
I adore Rupert! Everyone I tell the name to laughs at me and I really don't know why. I think it's a lovely name!
