"An overweight middle aged woman?" Well, we all will get middle aged in some time, and maybe someone of us will be overweight as well, so the image isn't that bad. :D
I think that Juno sounds really fresh and elegant, it reminds me of spring time. I like it.
The only problem is maybe that it is actually the name for a goddess - not something really useable, in my option.

Juno has a really nice, sprightly sound to it. But I see a couple of drawbacks:

It has a vaguely, space-age sound to it, like it could be a robot or a spaceship. (In fact I think it is some kind of rocket or other.)

Also, a friend of mine who went for guide-dog training told me once that when the students are first practicing their commands, Juno is the default dog name they use, as in "Juno, forward."

I prefer the name June over Juno.

I was not familiar with this name (other than the history behind it) as a name, in use today, that is, until the movie "The Descent". A not-so-wonderful character is named Juno, but she's played by the gorgeous Nathalie Mendoza, so I associate the name with the actress (even more than the character, for some reason). And now there's a movie coming out called "Juno" about a pregnant teenage girl, played by Ellen Page.

I actually prefer June, and that wasn't until fairly recently, as it sounded a bit too old-ladyish, even for me. :b But I wouldn't hesitate naming my daughter June and calling her Juno (June Ophelia, maybe - June O., lol). I'd love to meet a little Juno. I don't get the overweight middle aged woman thing at all, but like I said, I associate the name heavily with Nathalie Mendoza and she's not that, at all. ;)

I love Juno and definately do not imagine an"overweight middle aged woman". Quite the contrary actually; I think of a cute, lively little girl or a strong, driven, and beautiful young woman. Great name!

I've loved this name for a long time now. I really agree with you, it sounds very fresh & sparky. I also love Juna, Junia, June, etc. My favorite combos are Juno Ramona, Juno Beatrice, Juno Emmanuelle, Juno Zakiyah...

I love this name. It is distinctive, simple enough to say & pronounce, and very pretty.

The only thing that comes to mind is the Juno Awards. I've never met anyone with the name, but I suspect if I had, then that association might weigh more heavily.

I love Juno, it's one of my favs!
