[Opinions] Solomon and Irene
WDYT?I looked up "peace", and these two names jumped off the list at me Solomon is perfect to me because the meaning is great, and it has the wisdom connotations from the Biblical story. It's a bit much for a FN for me, but I think it has MN potential. I like Irene, too. I think it could be good for a FN or a MN. I would really, really appreciate combo suggestions using Solomon as a MN and Irene as a FN or a MN please please please!

Solomon would only work for a mn for me; it's too over-the-top otherwise. Irene was a woman on the trip, so I have fond associations with it and that takes it past the typical old-lady connotations for me. *shrug*To keep it toned down, I would use a non-Biblical FN for Solomon, or one that's not straight-old-testament-associated, like Isaac or Jacob or David. Henry Solomon
Christopher Solomon (just putting it out there)
Elliot Solomon
And Irene needs something feminine but not frilly.Irene Lucia

Yay, I love Solomon too, it would be good as a middle name but i would much prefer it as a first name, a little Solomon would be so cute. Not so keen on Irene though.

I really like Solomon as well, but also not sure about it as a fn (I don't care for Sol or Solly as nn's). I like Irene, but that's mostly a positive-association thing more than the sound (it's my best friend's nn, sort of). I also like the prn. used in "The Forsyte Saga": eye-REE-nee, but it would be difficult convincing other people to say it like that instead of eye-REEN, I'm pretty sure. :bHere are some combo ideas (mostly going from your PNL):
Cecilia / Celia Irene
Veronica Irene
Leona Irene
Claudia Irene
Lydia Irene
Theodora Irene
Daphne Irene
Irene Rosemary
Irene Frances
Irene June
