I've always liked the word too, never thought about using it as a name or nn though it's the name of a town in Eastern Washington that I drive through sometimes. The only name I could think of that sound remotely like Moxie is Maxine/Maxene. But I think it could be a nn for any energenic little kid (as in "_____ has moxie").
