Felicity had been dating Josiah for a couple of years. Both sets of parents had talked to them about safe sex and using condoms. They acted like they understood, so everyone let it go. Imagine Orion and Maiara's surprise when Felicity told them she was pregnant. The surprise was doubled when they were told she was having twins. Jack Saman and Michaéla Yvette were born six weeks early, but are healthy.
In sadder news, Stellian had gone out with some friends to a party. The road was slick from the recent winter storm. The driver lost control and skidded into a tree. Stellian, despite the fact that he had been the only one wearing his seat belt, died on impact. The others, who hadn't been wearing seatbelts, were fine.
