Mieczys recently gave birth to her third biological child. Luther was born prematurely and he was very sickly for the first few months of his life. Now, at 6 months of age, he is in much better health. Because of Luther's many medical problems, Mieczys stopped working at the bakery so she could become a full time stay-at-home mom. Pol's uncle, Zachariasz, gladly came back to work full time at the bakery.

Young Sophie is now in Kindergarten. At first she was rather shy and quiet in school. Now, after making a few good friends, she is enjoying her time there. Her favorite class is music and her least favorite class is science.
