[Facts] Greek name for Victoria
What is the Greek name for Victoria. I have heard mixed things...i have heard that it comes from the name Vasiliki, is this true?Thanks

Catalina's right, but who wants to be named after a running shoe? Veronica would be a nicer option - means Bringer of Victory (you can see the Nike in there, disguised as Nica).

If you look it up on BtN, its pretty easy to find. One meaning is "victory"...Victoria is the Roman goddess of Victory, and the Greek counterpart of this is Nike (which also means victory in Greek)
