[Opinions] Wit
I LOVE the nn Wit/Whit, but don't particularly like Whitaker, Whitman, etc.
So, two questions. One, what other names can you suggest as a formal name for Wit, and two, could I pull it off using William Thomas as a given name?

I think William Thomas "Wit" is adorable.
I also think Winston "Wit" is plausible.

Wit as a nn for William Thomas would work fine

What about Whitney? I much prefer it on a boy and Wit/Whit would be a fantastic nn!That said, I do think you could pull of Wit as a nn for William Thomas if that's what you'd prefer.

I think you could definitely pull off Wit as a nn for William Thomas. I'm having a really hard time coming up with formal names with nn Wit other than ones you've already mentioned. Maybe Swithin?

I think Wit is quite cute and is perfectly usable as a nn for William Thomas, imo. I know a guy named Whitney who goes by Whit, but I don't suggest naming a boy Whitney. ;)

How about Whitley or Whitney?I think it would be a far stretch for William Thomas, not something I would do.
