[Opinions] elizabeth - unusual nicknames
Besides the standard Liz and Beth, what other nicknames have you known people to use for Elizabeth?
For example, I was looking at a website somewhere and saw that Lucy used to actually be an Elizabeth nickname a few hundred years ago.
Also, have you ever known a Tess or Tessa who's full name was actually Elizabeth? I love those names, just don't like the name Teresa much. Thanks!

Lily, Liza, Lizette, Lisette, Elle, Ely, Lizzie, Eliza, Ella, Bessie, Betha, Bethie, Ellie, Libby, Zaza.
My favorite is Lily and Elsie.
As a person who has this name, I can tell you that there are a lot of not-so-nice nicknames out there for Elizabeth.
Libby is great, so is Eli and Elia, but my fave nickname would have to be Sabe (with an accent over the 'e') and Zabe (with an accent over the 'e').

Lucy is not a nickname for Elizabeth according to anything I've ever read. What website was it that said that?
I've never heard of Tess as a nickname for Elizabeth, but if you can have both Betty and Tetty I guess you could have Bess and Tess.

Libby, Liza, and Bet are the most uncommon I've heard of. I don't know any Elizabeth's that go by Tess or Tessa - I would just use Tess or Tessa as the full name, I think it's fine.
