[Opinions] elizabeth - unusual nicknames

Besides the standard Liz and Beth, what other nicknames have you known people to use for Elizabeth? For example, I was looking at a website somewhere and saw that Lucy used to actually be an Elizabeth nickname a few hundred years ago.Also, have you ever known a Tess or Tessa who's full name was actually Elizabeth? I love those names, just don't like the name Teresa much. Thanks!

As a person who has this name, I can tell you that there are a lot of not-so-nice nicknames out there for Elizabeth.

I love Tessa and think that it's fine as a full name, but I have no idea how you get it from Elizabeth.I prefer Elisabeth and nns Bess and Lisa.

Libby is great, so is Eli and Elia, but my fave nickname would have to be Sabe (with an accent over the 'e') and Zabe (with an accent over the 'e').

I've seen Zabeth used...and I always thought that was way cool. I like Tess and Tessa ... I've never personally seen them as nns for Elizabeth, but I think Tess could work.

Well...among Latinos, the name Bethzy has become somewhat popular. It's Spanish prn is like Betsy, but you could anglicize it. There's also Lizbeth, Lisette, Lizette, and Lizeth (I'm not certain about the last one. I think it's a nn for Elizabeth).

Lucy is not a nickname for Elizabeth according to anything I've ever read. Libby, Liza, and Bet are the most uncommon I've heard of. I don't know any Elizabeth's that go by Tess or Tessa - I would just use Tess or Tessa as the full name, I think it's fine.
