[Opinions] Rosamund.
I am in love with this name, and have been for a long time. While it's a little too feminine for me (I tend to prefer stronger sounding names such as Veronica, Miriam, and Judith), I still find it powerful and lovely in a very understated way. My boyfriend does like it one bit, but I adore it. Wdyt? I'm thinking of Ivy Rosamund (a bit botanical) or Rosamund Evelyn.

I think it's very nice said ROSE-ah-mund but I really cannot stand RAHZ-ah-mund/RAZ-ah-mund. Ivy Rosamund is nice but yes, a bit botanical. Rosamund Evelyn is singsongy to me.

It's not bad at all, but a bit "heavy". Ivy Rosamaund doesn't flow so well, but I find Rosamund Evelyn very classy.

I think it's a lovely name, much neglected. It evokes the medieval royal mistress, Rosamund Clifford, of course.
I used to have a work colleague whose names are Margaret Rosamund (pronounced Rozzamund). She uses her middle name but is known as Ros.
Rosalind is one of my top favourites. It is, however, used slightly more often than Rosamund (which is, incidentally, Elizabeth Taylor's middle name - a beautiful combination for a beautiful lady!).

I thought for a long time this name was prn. ROSE-ah-mund, but now I understand it's (usually) ROZ-ah-mund. I just don't love the ROZ sound (makes me think of a harsh, abrupt woman, nn Roz, or "schnoz" :b). Rosalind is a little softer than Rosamund to me, but Rosamund is so regal and British. :) Anyway, I do like it more as a mn. Ivy Rosamund or Eve Rosamund would be gorgeous, IMO. Did you mean your bf does not like it one bit, or he likes it a bit?

I like Rosamund a lot. I pronounce it "ROZZ a mund" (not "ROHZ a mund").

I love Edmund, and I love the 'mund' in that instance, but in this case, I'm not so sure. I do like Rosalind, Rosalie... other Rosa beginning names. I think this could grow on me. I like it best with Ivy.
