[Opinions] Sabrina, Selina, Serena
I'm adding these to my shortlist. I think Sabrina's pretty, and it's from mythology - but I'm worried about that "teenage witch" tag.
I think Selina is more akin to Celeste and the French Celine ("heavenly") than to Selene, the Greek moon goddess (but that Selena is more like Selene). I like Selina (Lady Selina Hastings was a fairly well-known English historical character) and that "heavenly" meaning.
I also like Serena, but wonder whether this might date, being so evocative of a current tennis star.Anyway, has anyone any comments? Thanks!

Sabrina I really like and while "The teenage witch" does come to mind, the Audrey Hepburn movie of the same name comes to mind first. That movie is the reason why I like the name so much. Selina is alright, I don't mind it, but I wouldn't personally use it. Serena I like, but I too wonder if it will date.

Sabrina is nice enough, but not entirely my style. I don't mind seeing it on someone else's daughter, though it does remind me of "Sabrina the Teenage Witch", to be honest.Selina is gorgeous. I love this name! I definitely prefer this spelling, but Selena is pretty, too.Serena isn't my style. I just don't care for the sound of it.

I love all three names and if I have to compare, it's:Serena > Sabrina > SelinaSerena reminds me of a fair-skin girl, who is clever and calm.
Sabrina to me is a black-hair cutie, whose eyes are full of wits.
Selina was one of my favorites, but unfortunately a pop singer in my area bears this name and I don't really like her. But I still like the name itself.http://blog.pixnet.net/swang928

I like Sabrina a bit. I don't think anybody will associate it with the show -- because I don't believe anyone watches it anymore!I like just about anything dealing with Greek Mythology. Selene is more of a reference to Artemis though, I think. I really like Artemis. In fact, I even wrote something concerning that name. Anyway, Selina is okay, but I prefer Selene.Serena is fine. It may become popular due to the tennis star, but I haven't met a little Serena yet.

I think both Serena and Sabrina will be dated down the line. All three are pretty names. I'd be more worried about the Serena/tennis player connection than Sabrina the teenage witch, but thats just me.
