Help[Opinions] Ivy.
I'm really torn on the name. I knew an Ivy in school, but it still isn't namey to me. My SO adores it, and I like it enough to use. However, poison ivy still comes to mind, along with the fact that it's gaining in popularity. There are currently two Ivies (or would the plural here be Ivys?) in my niece's preschool.
WDYT? She would probably be Ivy Cecilia, as Ivy Perpetua is too out there to use, plus as Roxstar pointed out it's perpetual ivy...not a good thing. :-D
Her sisters' names would be taken from the following: Tabitha (despite how hated it is), Veronica, Miriam, Judith, Magda/Magdalen, Eve. Her brothers' would probably be Julian, ~Xavier, Raphael - which I don't like.

Not a particular favourite, but pretty enough. Makes me think of Ivy Compton-Burnett (not that I've actually read anything by her), so here is at least one very dignified namesake.

I really love Ivy- Ivy Cecilia is very pretty- I think Ivy and Tabitha would make a great sib-set! Ivy and Julien is very nice as well.

Ivy is one of my favourite names - it is pretty, cute but not cutesy, not pretentious or frilly, rarely used, but not weird.
I ranked it on my top ten as a name n.3. It is a shame I can't use it here (of course I could spell it Aivi, so that it would be pronounced correctly, but it looks stupid). Ivy itself is also a nice, romantic plant.
I like Ivy Cecilia, but I'm not sure, do the names fit very well together - Cecilia has a bit other charm... Ivy, Julian, Raphael, Eve, Tabitha and Veronica would all look great together.

You already know this, but I really dislike Ivy. I think of poison ivy and I.V. lines. It's so harsh and cold and unfriendly sounding. What if you used it as a middle name to appease Xavier?
