[Opinions] Hypatia
This name popped into my head the other day, and although I don't particularly love it, I can't seem to quit thinking about it! I've been trying to think of combos, with Hypatia either as a fn or a mn, and I'm having a really hard time thinking of any. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I like the name, but I prefer the Greek pronunciation. I don't think fhe English pronunciation does the original any justice. As for combos, from your PNL I like:
Hypatia Agnes
Hypatia Alice
Hypatia Clementine
Hypatia Cordelia
Hypatia Eumelia
Hypatia Iris
Hypatia Josephine
Hypatia June
Hypatia Matilda
Hypatia Miriam
Hypatia Odilia
Hypatia Olive
Hypatia Pearl
Hypatia Philomena
I like the reverse order of those as well.

It's got an amazing namesake and I toyed with it for a while, but it's just too ugly-sounding to be used.

I don't have any combo ideas, but I just wanted to say it sounds like a medical condition to me. :-/ Maybe because of its similarity to the term hypospadias (opening of the penis is above where it should be...I'm a nurse, I'm familiar with these sorts of things, lol).

It sounds like a disease to me tooI just see/hear "hypoxia".

I thought the same thing.Besides 'hypospadias,' I also think it's too close to "hepat-" (med-speak for liver).

I'm saying hie-pay-shah (no clue if that's right) but hip-at-ee-ah or somesuch would be WAY too close to sounding like a liver condition. :b

My first thought was "it sounds like an illness!". ;)
