I definitely prefer Nicholas...love it! I think it's such a handsome, classy name that will age well.
Christopher, on the other hand, seems rather dated to me, for some reason. I picture it as a '60s, '70s, '80s name, personally (perhaps, because I know of so many Christopher's born in those decades). And the sound of it...I just don't find it appealing.
