Gabrielle and Gabriel are way too close for siblings. And Gabrielle for a boy and Gabriel for a girl? Are they insane?! Hopefully, it was a misinterpretation and Gabrielle is the girl and Gabriel is the boy. Even so, they're names are just way too similar.

Gabrielle is the female form of Gabriel so it is really the same name.
But if the girl was named Gabrielle, she could at least have gone by Elle or Ellie.
In accordance with the sexist notions that male is good and strong, and female is weak and sissy, it will be the boy who suffers most.
