Seven new additions - two spouses and five children - have joined our childrens' growing families in the last five years.
Lacie and Nathan welcomed a son, James Keven, to join their daughters, Livie and Ella, who are over the moon with their new little brother. They absolutely adore him and are wonderful big sisters. Not to mention the fact that the two girls are as close as sisters could ever be, and the relationship between the three is so sweet.
Jacob and Ava experienced an interesting turn of events with the arrival of their son, Samuel Jared. Chad and I woke one morning to a huge surprise on our doorstep: a baby boy wrapped in a blanket. We took him to the authorities, who gave us the option of sending him into foster care or taking care of him ourselves, until his family could be found. No one was ever located, and by that time, Jacob and Ava's kids had become so attached to him that they couldn't bear to let him go. And so, they made it all official by adopting him, and the quadruplets, Ben, Nick, Elisabeth, and Kate all love having him live with them.
Max married his long-time girlfriend, Janna, in a lovely wedding ceremony, and a year later, they welcomed their first child, a son, Oliver Henry. Three years after, a little girl joined their family, Jocelyn Cecilia. Oliver and Jocelyn have the sweetest and closest brother/sister relationship I've ever seen. They adore each other to pieces, and he is so protective of her.
And three years ago, Cade wed his high school sweetheart, Michelle Kaaryn, in another gorgeous wedding ceremony. Together, they welcomed son, John Robert, to the world just a few months ago. He is the pride and joy of his parents' lives.
