Our family has grown so much in the past 5 years! We've welcomed 5 babies to the family, along with a wife for Max, and a new girlfriend for Emerson. Roslyn and Tony have lasted much longer than we would have ever expected! They recently welcomed their fourth (and according to Ros, last) child, Chandler. Henry and Sam now have a little girl named Jocelyn, who is 1. Cooper and Julia moved out of state soon after their second son, Henry, was born. Jack and Abby had twins! Colin and Alli were born two years ago, and are quite a handful, keeping mom and dad busy all the time. We recently found out that Emerson had a girlfriend, although it really wasn't a shocker. She'd had some friends who she'd been extremely "close" to before, but when asked about it, she'd always denied it.
Soon after Max graduated from high school, he told us that he had something important to tell us. We sat down with him and his girlfriend, and they revealed to us that she was 3 months pregnant. They wanted to get married, but she was only 16 and her parents would not allow it. Their son, Damien, was born later that year. Damien was born with Downs Syndrome. While some may think of this as a hardship, Max and Amanda don't want anyone to feel sorry for them. Damien has really been a blessing to them. It's been hard at times, especially for a very young mother, but Damien is a sweet little boy and being able to watch him grow and learn has been a very rewarding experience for all of us.
