We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our second child and first daughter, Harper Lauren Abbey! Deacon's been a bundle of energy since day one, but it is already evident that Harper is much more serene. She weighed seven pounds, eight ounces, and was born at 6:12am on November 11th. Deacon is basically obsessed with his little sister, it's actually quite cute, particularly as he wary of the idea of having a little brother or sister at first, but he was delighted when the baby turned out to be a girl, saying that she wouldn't want to take his toys, haha. He's so good with Harper, very gentle, which certainly surprised me!
I've recently cut down on work - I now work two 12 hours shifts on the weekends, when David is home with the kids. This way, with a longer and less desirable shifts, and also due to the weekend pay differentials, I still make the equivalent of a 40 hour week, and am able to be home with the kids during the week. Makes the weekends crazy, and us both a bit haggard, but for the time being, I think it's the best plan.
Harper's nursery:
Cutest baby: Diamante04's Avery Natalia
Best house: Thalia's Victorian
