[Opinions] Elle?
Lately I’ve really fallen for the name Elle, I have a thing short girls names and Elle just keeps coming back to me what do you think of it not as a nn for anything just on its own.

it means "she" as in "he/she/it", it has nothing of a name for me and it doesn't sound very beautiful. I prefer Ellie or Ella etc.
I have to agree. To me, Elle means "she" However I think Ella is just as bad as it means "she" in spanish. It's actually too bad that "she" is immediately what comes to mind when I hear those names because they're both quite pretty.
ah, now I can't get the song "Ella elle l'a" out of my head
I really like it. I think it sounds very sweet on a little girl, but also suits a grown woman very nicely. Think of Elle McPherson!
I sort of like it, but I don't think I would personally use it. Maybe for a character.
I like it better than Ella - I think it would age better; Ella might sound a bit cutesy on a grown woman, but Elle would sound great. I like it.
Elle is cute, but Prefer Ella.
I love it, and I don't normally care for short names. For some reason, Elle sounds very sophisticated to me. My only concerns are that some people won't recognize it as a name and will think of the letter L instead. She may also have to spend the rest of her life explaining that Elle isn't short for anything.
At first all I could see was the French word for "she", but it's really been growing on me. The French thing still kind of bothers me, but it's certainly very pretty sounding.
