Sorry, but I find Joan very boring and not at all pretty.Jane, while equally dull, is a bit prettier imo._____________________________________________________________________Elinor"Actually, guns do kill people. Ever tried slapping a person to death?"

It's nms. It's a little plain for my taste as I don't tend to like many one-syllable names.
I'm too lazy to think of a clever signature.

Its ok as a mn.

I like it. More as a mn. I think I like Joanne more, but either way, Joan is classic and not common on the younger generations.

She's my favorite aunt, so I'm biased. But I love this name. It feels old fashioned these days, but in the 1920's when she was born, it was a sleek version of her grandmother Johanna's name. I also love it because of its connection to medieval history. Joan, Matilda, Frances, Adelaide, Emma, . . . the same style.

I like it. I think it's an underused classic. It'll age wonderfully, but be suitable for a child.

This is just bad writing. - "Secret Window"

I prefer it as mn.But I love Joanna and Johanna as fn."You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."

Too plain for my tastes, but it is getting less and less popular, so if you named your daugther this there would probably be no other little Joans around. I myself have never met any Joans my age.
