[Opinions] Re: Would you use any names that celeb babies also have [long] [m]
Apple -- I actually think this is kind of cute. For some reason I have a thing for fruit names. Go figure.
Atticus -- Wonderful on a boy. Horrible on a girl.
Banjo -- Rednecky.
Betty -- Very cute and traditional. It would be nice to see this name used every once in a while.
Blue -- nms but not too bad.
Dexter -- All I can think about is the old cartoon Dexter's Laboratory. And he was a boy.
Dixie -- Chicks.
Gulliver -- 's Travels
Iris -- Love it beyond words. Really, I do. Botanical names are going to be my downfall, I swear!
Levi -- Strauss
Ocean -- Never liked it, never will. But lots of people do. It's not really the word thing that does it, actually. I just think it sounds really ugly, no offense.
True -- or Dare
Sonnet -- I can actually see the name-ish-ness of this, but at first glance I thought it said bonnet lol!
Pilot -- Definately not. It's something that would be sort of ok on a dog.
Racer -- this is a bigtime GP of mine. I think it's because I run...
Rebel -- lol this one, too. I really like it, honestly =P
Rocket -- Same as Racer and Rebel. I read about this sibset before (can't recall whose kids they are), but I really do like it. Imagine how horrified the babysitter must be!
Satchel -- as in purse? Offense, IMO.
Seven -- ?
Willow -- It's growing on me
Shiloh -- I know you really love this one, but all I can think about is the beagle.
River -- Getting more used to this one
Lyric -- for some reason I really dislike this too. There's plenty of word names that I like, but Lyric seems a kind of stupid choice out of every word out there. Oh well, to each her own.
Piper -- a bit of a GP for me, cause I think it's adorable, just a tad trendy
Parker -- liked this before I grasped hold of my name-nerdy-ness. I used to think it was original, but now I see it as super trendy.
Story -- it does have namelike characteristics, but I feel slightly the same about it as I do about Lyric
Sage -- meh.
London -- I really like it for a girl, despite the trendyness. I think it's cute.
Brooklyn -- No! Please! Brooke is my least favorite name EVER! It seriously makes me gag when I say it, I'm not lying. And then to add lyn and make it the name of a rather unpleasant part of New York... ugh!
Romeo -- funny story about this, actually. My friend Marissa and her sister are trying to convince their parents to get them a dog and they'll name him Romeo for the siple reason of being able to call him like, "Romeo... Romeo! Where for art thou, Romeo!" lol.
Cruz -- I like it. Not a total favorite, but it's not bad.
Kai -- nms, but lots of people like it. I'd prefer it on a boy.
Paris -- I can't get the thought of Paris Hilton out of my head, even though Paris is really an old, male name.
Phoenix -- GP
Atherton -- kind of cool, actually.
Ireland -- One of my GPs.
Harlow -- Dislike the "ar" sound because I keep thinking, "Arrr, me booty! Scrub the decks, you scallywags!"
Rain -- growing on me since I got really into The Office. I love Rainn Wilson!
Reignbeau -- as if Rainbow wasn't bad enough...
Freedom -- a bit too much, IMO.
Sailor -- Can't say much, because I'm a big fan of Captain =P
Storm -- Love it so much! I think it's so cool and confident!
August -- gorgeous on a girl, handsome on a boy. I think I prefer it for a boy, though.
Calico -- type of both cat and fabric.
Sonora -- sounds like a name, but doesn't work for me.
Scarlet / Scarlett -- So many people love this, but it's always reminded me of a prostitute. o.O
Lily Rose -- Oh I'm such a sucker for flower names!
Moon -- Prefer Luna or other similar forms
Poet -- nah
Easton -- Like the sound, but crosses into "trendy" territory.
Aspen -- I really loved this for a while
