[Opinions] Re: Would you use any names that celeb babies also have [long] [m]
If I liked a name that was extremely rare and a celebrity got there first, yeah, I'd probably avoid it. I don't actually like many names that are that uncommon- probably if a celebrity used Michal, Sévérine or Zalman, say, I wouldn't use them. (I don't plan to use any of those right now, but they're on my long list.) If a celebrity named her daughter Alice or Joanna, they wouldn't go off my list. My concern with sharing a name with a celeb-kid is the same as sharing a name with any famous person or character: that the kid not be constantly associated with that particular person/character. Hermione is unfortunatly out, but Martha is okay.Of your list, I like very few names. My taste does not run with that of celebs! I would (be willing to) use these:
Betty [girl] - As a nickname for Elizabeth. I love it!
Iris [girl]
Levi [boy]
Paris [boy and girl] - Boy only.
August [boy and girl] - On a boy only.
Clementine [girl]
Billie [girl] - As a nickname for Wilhelmina or Sybil.
Basil [boy]
Poppy [girl]
Florence [girl] - I adore this name!I wouldn't use, but like (and don't find them too connected to one celeb's kid):
Atticus [boy and girl] - Girl? Did a celebrity seriously name a daughter Atticus? That's a horror for the ages. I like it on a guy.
Blossom [girl]
Hero [girl]
Ziggy [boy] - As a nickname for Siegfried. My mate was just telling me last night that he wants to have a kid named Ziggy. Hah.
