Help[Games] Darkest Congrats Round Five (Finally!)
Welcome to Round Five of Darkest’s Congrats. This is the first round for grandchildren, unless you chose to add them last round. The number of grandchildren you got is based on how many children you have. The grandchildren do not have to be by the boy/girlfriend listed; in fact, you have free reign to change the boy/girlfriends whenever you want - just leave me a note. I have added “Parent Tags” by each grandchild - if the grandchild is the child of the listed boy/girlfriend/spouse, just remove it. If not, it’ll get pretty helpful in the long run!

Random Event: Victoria was in an accident and has to be in a wheelchair.
Victoria got in an accident and was rushed to the hospital. Fortunatly she survived it although she had a concussion for a day or so. But now she has to be in a wheelchair. She is adjusting her life to it. The children and William are surprisingly helping Victoria. She does want to be able to walk again!
The children are doing well. We have grandchildren. Bess and John are going to continue college and John is going to grad school after. They both had twins. Bess with her husband Jake had twin daughters Rebekah and Rose. Rebekah is in honor of Jake's grandmother and Rose is in honor of our family, the Roses. John with his now wife, Meg had twin sons Will and Henry.

Well. Its been a very eventful couple of years for us. I suppose bad news should come first. We've all had quite a shock after our son Ryan took an overdose of sleeping pills and nearly died five months ago. Our daughter Emmy found him and thankfully no permanent damage has been done although he is now seeing a psychiatrist. We were all shocked and heart-broken when it happened - we felt so guilty for not noticing that anything was wrong. Ryan tells his twin Henry everything and Henry maintains that Ryan did not want to kill himself it was just that 'everything got too much all of a sudden and he wanted to forget stuff'. When questioned further Henry said that they get teased at school because they are parented by a same sex couple. We were naturally devastated.
Anyway - now for the good news! Our eldest, Indigo, is now a father! He and Melanie now have 3 year old twins called Finlay and Aurora. Indy and Melly currently have their own apartment about twenty minutes away from us and we see them at least twice a week with the kids - and of course they need us for babysitting :) Indy and Melly will soon graduate and pursue their prospective careers - Melly will take up a job in an art gallery part time (whilst looking after the kids) and Indigo has taken up a job as a research scientist at a respected zoo.

So much has happened in the last year!
My big girls, Nora June and Rose, are now 20 and in college. In the same college, actually. They have both moved out, and I miss them a lot! (But you know, having five instead of seven children in the house doesn't make much difference, it's just as wild and crazy :-).
Norie June is studying to become a journalist. She was offered a scholarship to go to college in a special program where she has someone who helps her with the classes and translates them into sign language for her. We are extremely grateful. Norie June also has a boyfriend; Abram Navarro. Abram is a young photographer and I was astounded by his work and invited him over for dinner once. Norie June happened to be home, and it turned out that Abram's mother is deaf, so he could sign to Norie June. They have been together for about a year now and have moved in to an appartement.
My little Rose, who is in the Nursing program and whats to be a midwife, not only has a boyfriend, but also a daughter. Yep, I'm a grandmother! Rosie and her boyfriend Oliver had little Scarlett only a month ago. Rosie wants to continue her education, but will take a year or two off to be a mother to Scarlie. Rose and Oliver are only 20 and 21, but they both say they already can't imagine a life without their daughter (who looks exactly like Rosie when she was a baby).

About a month ago, our son Dylan tried to kill himself after his best friend, Jake died of cancer. Dylan was extremely close to Jake and was absolutetly devastated when he died. Dylan did not succeed in killing himself, luckily, we caught him before he tried to get ahold of his uncle's gun. Dylan is recovering now, with some counciling and we're really hoping he will be okay.

I don't generally consider 15 too young to have a child. I'm 15, and 3 of my classmates have children, one of whom is over a year old. It isn't ideal, of course, but it happens.

Gabe had been struggling with depression since he left for college. Paula and Jackie had encouraged him to get some counseling, to consider taking a gap year, but Gabe didn’t want his condition to affect his academic progress. A semester into his freshman year, Gabe changed his mind, much to his parents’ relief, and was put on SSRI medication to treat his depression. Paula and Jackie had encouraged him to get some counseling, to consider taking a gap year, but Gabe didn’t want his condition to affect his academic progress. A semester into his freshman year, Gabe changed his mind, much to his parents’ relief, and was put on SSRI medication to treat his depression. But with his busy schedule and class load, Gabe found it difficult to make time to see his therapist, although it was recommended that Gabe see him 3 times a month, especially at the start of his treatment.

Victoria got in an accident and was rushed to the hospital. Fortunatly she survived it although she had a concussion for a day or so. But now she has to be in a wheelchair. Seems the family has completely forgotten how to use Birth Control. Three of our children have become parents before leaving High School. We taught our kids about BC, even provided it for them, but apparently they didn't learn. We're hopeful that the rest of the kids will have learned from their siblings mistakes.
That being said, we do love all our grandkids. First Forrest and his gf Holli had a son when they were 17 year old Seniors. Curran James, who we all call Curry. Forrest and Holli did manage to graduate on time. Forrest had taken Auto Tech in School and now works at local garage as a Mechanic. Holli went to school to become a Hair Dresser and has just started working at a local salon. They also welcomed a dd Violet Rose 2 months ago. Although it's been hard they are making it work.
Ross and Addie shocked us all by announcing they were going to be parents only 1 week apart from each other. Ross's ex-girlfriend Lily gave birth to their dd Kate Lavender last year. Lily and Kate live with Lily's parents. Ross, who was always a great skateboarder, was lucky enough to go Pro at 18. Ross still lives at home when he's not on tour, and Kate spends every Wednesday night and every other weekend that he is home with Ross.

He was released nine days later when one of his clients came forward and said that they had falsely accused Wil of harming their daughter at a therapy session. With several kids who already went through high school successfully i did not think Isaac would be any different. however, Isaac managed to find some firends in the grades above him who were involved in less than appropriate behavior. Isaac was arrested at a party with these people for drugs and alcohol, and for trying to evade the policemen. We are dissapointed, but we are sure we can cope, and rigt now we are just trying to help Isaac get out of some of his bad decisions.

While Rhett's music career and my photography business have really taken off over here in England, the rest of our kids haven't fared so well, Finn in particular. He never really got around to cleaning up his act after he found out he was going to be a father; Evie broke up with him only three days after Liam was born because Finn didn't have a place of his own or even a job. There was nothing he was doing to help support his family. A couple years and numerous non-serious flings later, Finn found a new girlfriend, Rachel, and promptly got her pregnant within two weeks. What he conveniently forget to mention to her was the fact that he had another, Kira, and that she had gotten pregnant around the same time. Of course, the lie was too elaborate to keep up, and Rachel and Kira eventually found out about one another; Finn could have cared less that they both broke up with him, since he was "only looking for a good time, not a commitment." Alec, Finn's son with Rachel, and Jack, his son with Kira, were born only eight days apart.

While Rhett's music career and my photography business have really taken off over here in England, the rest of our kids haven't fared so well, Finn in particular. He never really got around to cleaning up his act after he found out he was going to be a father; Evie broke up with him only three days after Liam was born because Finn didn't have a place of his own or even a job. There was nothing he was doing to help support his family. A couple years and numerous non-serious flings later, Finn found a new girlfriend, Rachel, and promptly got her pregnant within two weeks. What he conveniently forget to mention to her was the fact that he had another, Kira, and that she had gotten pregnant around the same time. Of course, the lie was too elaborate to keep up, and Rachel and Kira eventually found out about one another; Finn could have cared less that they both broke up with him, since he was "only looking for a good time, not a commitment." Alec, Finn's son with Rachel, and Jack, his son with Kira, were born only eight days apart.

Hey all! Our family has been doing great. It is bigger than ever now, we are welcoming so many new faces. Let's start at the top. It's confusing with so many children!
Katrina has received her degree in Event Planning with a minor in Business from Ohio State University. She really enjoys what she does, but with Callie, Owen, and Keaton, her hands sure are full. She thankfully works for a great company, The Knot, and can work right out of their home. She can get a lot of work done in the early afternoon when the twins are napping and Callie is at preschool. Thankfully they don't live far away, so I can visit often and help keep them off of her hands for awhile.

It's been a busy few years. Charlie stayed with Bridget and they now have two adorable children, Violet and Atticus. Bridget recently dropped out of college to look after the two of them, and is now working in the fashion industry. Olivia has got herself involved with a guy named Daniel Malone, who is taking a 'year out' of school in order to concentrate on his 'music career'. We were shocked when she announced that she was pregnant - she is only a senior - but are doing all we can to help out with little Liam, and she is looking for a part-time job. James and I are not sure that we approve of Daniel but he has not done anything too awful - yet.
However, it's not all been happy news - a few weeks ago, while going to pick up Audrey and Sebastian from school, I was involved in a car accident, and have been in a wheelchair ever since. Fortunately, the doctors are saying that, with physio, I should be able to walk again within months, but it is definitely limiting the things I can do with the kids - and the grandkids!
