I really dislike the sound of this name. It just sounds . . . yucky.
The only Sloanes I have ever known have been girls (I've met 2 or 3), so while I think of it more as a girls name, I find it a very unattractive girls name. I really don't think it would fare much better on a boy. It's just . . . yucky.
