Personally, being named Jaimeson Jade (after my father James) and having my nickname (one of them at least) spelled Jaime, I like it on a girl. I can see how it would be masculine (HY-mee) when pronounced as a Spanish name. But it is also French (meaning 'I love' as j'aime). I love my name and always have. Jaimeson I wasn't crazy about as a child but knowing where it comes from I like it as an adult. As for spelling it J-A-I-M-E, I think it makes sense to me. JAI is a pronounciation like JAY to me and ME says me to everyone in the english language.I love it. As my own name esp, I love the meaning (I love) b/c it makes me think of good things. Call me crazy but the spelling of Jaime is totally feminine. I would never use that nn as a boys nn b/c the JAI part just looks feminine. For a boy I would go with definately Jamey or *maybe* Jamie. some combos I like:Jaime Jade (obviously lol)
Jaime Ashlyn
Jaime Marisol
Jaime Violet
Jaime Aniah (ah-NYE-ah)Hope this helps! :)(edited to correct spelling/grammer)

Jamie is cute. I prefer Jamie to Jaime. I like it on both genders. Jamie Rose is one I know. I will try to think of some more one off my head that I do not personally know:
Jamie Kathleen
Jamie Rebecca
Jamie Olivia
Jamie Anna
Jamie Nancy
Jamie Isabelle/a
Jamie Allison
Jamie Grace

I like it a lot. I like that it's connected to J'aime (I love, in French), and for that reason always makes me want to pronounce it with a Zh sound at the beginning rather than a J. I like Jamie too, but only on a boy. Jaime is gorgeous.
Jaime Georgiana
Jaime Katherine
Jaime Lola
Jaime Francesca
Jaime Violet
Jaime Yvette
Jaime Elise
Jaime Theodora
Jaime Viennaanything you like?

To me......any girl name pronounced Jay-me is plain and overly common without the even the redeeming qualities of sounding nice or being classic.

I dislike the name for girls, but if it must be used, I prefer spelled Jamie. I prefer Jaime as a Spanish boys' name.

I have bad associations with people named "Jamie", so the Jaime spelling is the only one I like. It makes it a little better imo. And while Jamie looks nickname-y to me, Jaime looks more complete. I prefer Jaime on a boy, but it's cute on a girl as well. As long as it's spelled Jaime, I like it. :)Random ideas for you:
Jaime Allison
Jaime Alana
Jaime Katherine
Jaime Clare
Jaime Roselle
Jaime Camille
Jaime Margaret
Jaime Olivia
Jaime Suzette
Jaime Isobel
Jaime Elisabeth
Jaime Noelle
Jaime Ariella
Jaime Kristin
Jaime Felicia
Jaime Seraphine

Jamie is OK on a girl. It took me some online getting-used-to, because where I live Jamie is always a boy's name. But with the lovely Jamie Spears I've heard a lot of it lately. The spelling Jaime - that is just needless. It looks like a typo to me. Knowing it's a Spanish man's name just makes it even less appropriate :-/

Jaime is a Spanish boys name, and it's not pronounced like Jamie.Jamie is also a boys name, IMO. It's a pet form of James.

It's okay, just please spell it Jamie. I never understood the Jaime spelling, it doesn't even make sense. It just looks like a typo.

I agree 100%. Where I live, Jaime would be pronounced HY-mee and it's completely masculine. Jamie or even Jami would be a better spelling.Combos:
Jamie Annelise
Jamie Cheyenne
Jamie Victoria
Jamie Alice
Jamie Rose
Jamie Sierra
Jamie Melissa

I agree. Jaime is 100% masculine and 100% HY-mee to me. I would no more read the name Jaime and pronounce it JAY-mee than I would read the name Jesus and pronounce it JEEZ-us.Jamie is the best spelling by far, but any spelling other than Jaime is still a better choice, imo. Jami, Jayme, Jaymie, whatever, just please not Jaime.

I agree. Jaime to me is a masculine name pronounced HY-mee, so I hate seeing it used on girls and prn. like Jamie. I'd much prefer to see Jamie on a boy, esp. as a nn, but Jamie is still much better than Jaime (if pronouncing it JAY-mee), despite the gender. IMO.
