Sorry, I dislike surnames as first names, especially on girls.
I really dislike Son or Mac names for girls they are so unfeminine and to my mind ugly
Thats not to say all surnames are, some have unisex meanings like say Harley or Ainslie, though I personally wouldnt use them, (except as a middle name if they were a family name) they at least have meanings that could be for male or female
A childs smile is worth more to me than Gold

I'm too lazy to think of a clever signature.

Sorry, I hate SON-names for girls
Since Addison is a surname and means "Adam's son", I don't understand the attraction.
Laurel as a fn would be lovely.
"You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."
"It does not become me to make myself smaller than I am." (Edith Södergran 1891-1923)

Yes, but that does not make me like them
And son-names for girls is a pet peeve of mine.

Addison is a surname to me, and has a boyish (son) meaning. I think it's trashy. Especially if Britney likes it lol

I love Addison! It's an old family name for me.

Addison is NMS, but if it is used I much prefer it on a boy.
I like Addison, but only for a middle name and only for a boy.
My favorite boy combo using this name is Chandler Addison, *and it came from a Cabbage Patch Doll.. of all things!*

I know a male Addison who is currently about 17. I associate the name very strongly with him, and I can't see it on a girl. I see it on a lanky, bookish kid with glasses. On boys, it strikes me as cute but malleable as the kid ages. On girls, it seems a little pretentious.
I only like Addison for a boy. It's annoying how it will be associated with Britney Spears if she has a girl.
i was SOOOOOO bummed when i heard Britney might use it!! ugh! my fav name, down the drain! i like Addison Lorraine better but my fav combo is...
