James had to go to a teacher’s convention in New York. Because it was close to Christmas he had decided he would go straight from New Yorks to England to visit family. Because of bad weather he had a layover in Ontario. It was in the Ontario airport that he met Coral-Anne Margaret Sinthie. She was on her way home to Australia from a singles holiday. Fortunately for James she hadn't found anyone on the trip. They exchanged phone numbers and as they say the rest is history. They married a short 5 months after meeting.
