Yes, I really like the name Amelie - it is really a sweet, gorgeous name. It is somewhat similar to other names that are popular now, but I think it has got its own character.
I also love the film and it does make me love the name more. How could it not? I think I would like the name anyway, but it is certainly a great association.
By the way, Amelie is also the name of Madeleine McCann's younger sister (I've not seen it written with the accent though?).
Now I want to watch Amelie again...
