I can't believe its been 10 years since little Michael was born! In the space of the past 5 years alone Daniel and i have acquired six little grandchildren - its enough to make anyone feel ancient! Since i last wrote we have also had two weddings - 3 years ago Claude married Leyla, a lovely girl he met while traveling in India and then a year ago Rosanna married Fin, a great guy she met while on a university exchange in London.
In a stroke of coincidence Cecily, Leyla and Rosanna all gave birth to twin boys. It was a bit of a shock, but it was also nice for the girls to have people to talk to who understood what they were going through. The twins are all wonderful but we do feel rather swamped with boys - we are hoping for some girls next!
Before i sign off, i have to tell you about this camping trip we went on last summer. Daniel and i thought it would be a good idea to take a trip altogether as a family because, as most of the children were starting to move away in the future there would be few times during the year when we would actually be together except for christmas. The kids all thought it was a great idea and decided that we should all go camping together. We found this great campsite by the sea in Brittany and had a brilliant week despite Zavier and Rory getting mild sunstroke from running around in the sun too much.
